Additional course information/policies

What's included in our courses:

  • Online E-learning 

  • Pool instruction sessions

What's not included:

  • Instructor/boat captain gratuity

What to bring (recommended)

  • Reef-Safe Sunscreen (if you don’t have any, it will be provided. Please refrain from applying traditional commercial sunscreen before your arrival if possible, as it can harm or kill delicate corals and marine life)

  • “Beach” Towel

  • Comfortable shoes or sandals for the boat

  • Packed lunch and snacks 

  • Any personal dive gear/dive computer 


Course discount policy:

All Scuba Steve’s students receive a 10% discount in our retail store. We offer a full range of scuba gear from industry leading brands. While not required, we recommend all students come into the shop prior to your scheduled course for a professional fitting for a mask, fins, and snorkel. Proper selection and fit is paramount to comfort and safety while diving, as these items are not one size fits all. Having your own mask, fins, and snorkel that fit correctly will make your diving experience easier and more comfortable.

Course refund/cancellation policy:

We understand that your plans may change, but due to limited seating on our vessel courses are non-refundable unless we are given a 48hr notice of cancellation. If you cancel within 48 hours or no-show, you will be charged the full cost of the course and no refund will be available. You may call at any time to request to reschedule but availability is not guaranteed. All trips are weather/condition dependent. Scuba Steve’s reserves the right to cancel courses/trips at our sole discretion. In the event of cancellation by Scuba Steve’s we will attempt to reschedule. If unable, customers will be offered a rain check, store credit, or a full refund. Refunds issued to credit cards may take time to process depending on your bank. Scuba Steve's is not responsible for delays in credit card refund processing. 

Course minimum policy:

To run any of our courses, we require a 2-student minimum. If we do not meet the minimum, the course will be canceled, and customer(s) will receive a full refund. If you are a solo diver and would like to guarantee your ability to take a course with us, you will be given the opportunity to do a private on-on-one course for an additional fee. The additional fee is dependent on the course, if you would like to book a private one-on-one course please give us a call for details.
