At Scuba Steve’s we provide a diving experience unlike any other in the Lower Keys. We specialize in offering customizable trips with flexibility and options unavailable at other shops. We provide the quality difference, and a personalized experience. While other shops offer Looe Key and occasionally the Busch wreck, we dive sites where no one else goes. On our trips, groups can choose what type of dive they're looking for and we'll take you to the best sites available. We offer a variety of reef dives, four shipwrecks and several drift dives that only locals know. The owners of Scuba Steve's realized after working and living in the Lower Keys that divers here are seriously under-served. Serious divers and those seeking something beyond typical tourist boats have had very few options to experience what this area truly has to offer, until now. We have spent years exploring these waters to find the best area dive sites, and preparing our operation to offer customers a level of service we are proud of. Small operation, big on quality:
We run small, 6 person max trips and private charters. We provide the most individual attention possible, unlike larger commercial dive boats where it's easy to feel lost in the crowd. Our diver to divemaster ratio is 6:1 at most, which is far less than the industry standard, maximizing professional supervision. We run a 30' Delta custom dive boat, which was designed and outfitted specifically for diving. We are a small operation, but big on quality. Our boat is also equipped with the latest in navigation and safety equipment. We keep on board all coast guard regulation safety and first aid equipment, a fully equipped emergency O2 kit, AED, backboard, and other non required first aid equipment. All of our staff are certified divemasters or instructors including our captains, and all are certified in CPR and first response. Additionally, all staff undergo regular in service emergency training to ensure readiness at all times. We hold our staff to the highest standards to ensure the utmost in comfort and safety for all of our customers.
Concierge diving:
We specialize in customer care, from loading and unloading the boat to setting up, switching over, breaking down, rinsing and storing your dive gear, all you have to worry about is enjoying your dives! We truly are a full-service, concierge-style dive operation. All our trips include a divemaster to make your dives easy and comfortable, so you don't miss anything trying to find the boat. We don't enforce an arbitrary time limit, dive time will be limited only by safe diving practices. Our captain and crew are there to assist you, if you'd like to put your gear on or take it off in the water to enter or exit without the weight, no problem. We will gladly assist you to and from your seat, getting into and out of the water, on the ladder, and with anything else you may need.
