Advance Your Skills with Scuba Steve's

Scuba Steve’s Advanced Open Water Diver Course: What will you learn?

If you’re a certified diver and ready to take your diving to the next level, then the Advanced Open Water course is for you! From shipwrecks and deep-water reefs, to life that only appears at night, our advanced course lets you experience more with confidence. This course consists of a classroom and pool session and six specialty dives. These include a deep dive, navigation dive, and night or low visibility dive. Then you choose from wreck diving, spearfishing/lobstering, search and recovery, light salvage, underwater naturalist, and underwater photography/video for three elective dives to complete the course.

What sets our advanced course apart?

At Scuba Steve’s, we go above and beyond industry standards to ensure student comfort and safety. We train our students how to dive confidently; we don’t sell certification cards. Our advanced course consists of classroom, confined, and open water instruction, allowing us to train certain skills in a controlled environment. Most advanced courses consist of five dives, we do six plus a pool session to maximize comfort and confidence with new skills and new situations. Scuba Steve’s provides the quality difference. Our course takes advantage of online E-Learning so you can do most of the academics at your own pace on your own time. Upon completion, you come dive with us for three days of in person training. This allows you to maximize your mastery of the new diving concepts and skills as well as your vacation or free time. We will provide all the required scuba gear you need for your advannced course if you do not have your own.

Small group size for a personal experience:

All courses with Scuba Steve’s are run on our 30’ Delta custom dive boat, which carries a maximum of 6 passengers. Our intimate small boat experience is unique to our area. We provide the most individual attention possible, unlike some larger commercial dive boats where it's easy to feel lost in the crowd. We also limit our student to instructor ratio to 4:1, which is less than half of the industry standard, maximizing professional supervision. Safety matters at Scuba Steve’s!
